Persephone
Persephone
In Greek mythology, Persephone moves between two worlds — daughter of Demeter, queen of the underworld, and a symbol of renewal and transformation.
In this image from the Saltwater Mythologies series, she appears suspended within cool blue waters, a quiet figure between descent and return. Light drifts across the surface above her while the sea softens her form below, suggesting both stillness and passage.
This work on paper begins as an underwater photograph and is printed with archival pigment inks on museum-grade Canson Infinity Etching Rag. Select impressions are gently refined by hand with layers of cold wax, PanPastels, and other fine-art mediums, giving the surface a soft atmospheric luminosity.
Each print is signed and numbered by the artist and produced in a limited edition.
Available sizes
8 × 10 (edition of 50, 8-ply museum mat) — $300
11 × 14 (edition of 50) — $450
16 × 20 (edition of 50) — $750
20 × 30 collector size (edition of 25, select works) — $1,200
